Wind Your Bobbins Without Unthreading
The Bobbin Winding Motor functions independently of the sewing motor, so you don't have to re-thread in the middle of your work.


Customize Your Stitches
Don't see the exact stitch you want? Then alter a preset stitch to create your own! Stitches can be elongated, flipped and combined with other stitches, then saved into the Recall Memory Bank. Adjust stitch width from 0 to 7mm. Adjust length from 0 to 5mm. Center needle and left needle straight stitches can be programmed in increments of 1, 3, or 5 stitches.

Sew At Up To 1000 Stitches Per Minute
Long seams will flash by with perfect Janome stitch quality. Run straight stitches at up to 1000 spm. The MC6500P can also do Zig-zag at up to 700 spm.

Bigger Is Better
At 9" x 5" (225mm x 120mm), it has the largest arm and bed space of any household sewing machine. And, it comes standard with a generous extension table for even more room.

The MC6500P stitch collection ranges from utility to decorative, encompassing beautiful quilting and heirloom stitches, such as the unique French Knot.The selections are divided into four quick-access modes: Direct,Quilt, Utility, and Monogramming.The Quilt Mode alone has 69 patterns to choose from, including 4 hand-look stitches.

Knee Lifter
It lifts the presser foot while leaving the needle in place so you can keep your hands on your work. A favorite feature of quilters, it's also very useful for garment and home dec projects. And just in case you accidentally bump the lift while you're sewing, the MC6500P has a built-in safety feature that stops the machine and gives you a warning, so you don't break a needle or ruin your project.


Easy Access Feed Dog Control
For quilting or other free-motion sewing, you can quickly drop the feed dogs.The lever is right on the front of the machine.
